One year anniversary for Vegetable Café Hamoru, Fukushima-City

On November 11, 2011, Fukushima Network for Saving Children from Radiation opened Hamoru vegetable & fruit shop in the centre of Fukushima City.

Since its opening, Hamoru has provided not only radiation free vegetables delivered from non-contaminated regions in Japan, but also insecticide free and chemical free products, in order to fortify the immune system of children and to fight against the radioactivity.

Hamoru is not only a shop; half of the place consists of the “Hamoru salon” where monthly classes on “Easy Macrobiotics” are held. Twice a week there are food meetings; also there are study meetings about radioactivity, food safety and the reality in Fukushima. It is also an active exchange platform for mothers who wish to come to talk and to share their problems and information.

For the sake of detoxing and strengthening the immune system of as many children and adults as possible, at accessible prices, Hamoru continues to propose several projects such as serving lunches based on vegetables and brown rice, or delivering products to people who don't have easy access to the shop. Your support is welcome!
