Shinzo Abe, who assumed the post of President of Liberal Democratic Party on October 26, has met with Hiromasa Yonekura, chairman of the Japan Business Federation. Both leaders agreed on
reviewing "zero nuclear power by the 2030s” proposed by Democratic Party. The Japan Business Federation, Japan's most influential business lobby, is opposed to the proposal and criticizes the
policy for being 'irresponsible'.
Abe vowed to rebuild a close relationship with the Japan Business Federation and told them his party would not adopt the policy.
