Fukushima Network For Saving Children From Radiation
Fukushima Network for Saving Children from Radiation is a group of mothers and fathers to protect the well-being of their children. This organisation was founded in May 2012, and has played a major role in the grassroots activities amongst Fukushima locals. It covers range of activities from providing safe vegetables, organising seminars to learn about the protection from radiation, arranging rest and recuperation programmes, government lobbying, to publishing independent magazine.
National Network for the Rest and Recuperation Programmes
National Network for the Rest and Recuperation Programmes, kicked off in September 2012, is a network of 20 voluntary groups across Japan which institutionalises and coordinates the various programmes taking place in different places. The main purpose of this organisation is to match the number of the hosts of the programme and the number of children who are willing to take a part. The establishment of the database of the various government financial support will encourage more recipients.
Citizen's Radioactivity Measuring Station
Citizen's Radioactivity Measuring Station (CRMS) is a Fukushima based laboratory where local consumers and farmers visit to examine their food. The subjects of the radiation examination include food, water and soil. The station also publishes the collected data of the examined food on their website.
